Affiliate disclosure

The short version

PelletDeck may earn a commission if you click a link to a retailer and buy something. That will not change the calculator math or move a hopper size in the database.

What is live right now

Two grill detail pages (Traeger Pro 575 and Pit Boss Austin XL) include an Amazon Associates link, and three guides carry one short block of gear picks: a probe thermometer on the turkey guide and the brisket stall guide, and a 20 lb and a 40 lb bag of cooking pellets next to the bag calculator on the pounds of pellets guide. All of these use the tag pelletdeck-20. Each one is labeled as an affiliate link and sits next to a short disclosure, not only in the footer. The calculator, the planners, and the homepage do not carry Amazon links, and no other page does.

PelletDeck is also a Z Grills affiliate. The Z Grills grill pages and their cards in the grill database include a "check price at Z Grills" link to the maker's own product page, and we earn a commission if you buy through it. Each of those links sits next to a short disclosure. Z Grills models are listed with the same sourced specs and the same planning math as every other grill, and the affiliate link does not change our numbers or picks.

Gear picks never change calculator results, the bag counts, or planner math. These blocks show no prices, and price bands in the grill database are rough street-price buckets, not checkout prices.

FTC notice

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission guidelines, PelletDeck discloses that it may receive compensation from companies whose products are mentioned or linked on this site. This compensation may be in the form of money, services, or complimentary products and may influence which products are written about and where they appear. That said, the calculator formulas and listed grill specs are not altered by affiliate relationships. We only recommend or list products we consider relevant to pellet grill research.

Where a page shows a product price or availability, it is accurate as of the date and time indicated on that page and is subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed at the time of purchase at a linked retailer applies.

What this does not cover

The calculator is a planning tool with published formulas. It does not favor one brand. The methodology page shows every exponent and multiplier. Burn rate assumptions in the grill database are labeled as estimates, not test results.
